Graphic bands circle the … Read more A hand-incised and hand-painted ceramic vase designed by Dietmar Liedke for Karlsruher Majolika in the 1970s. Graphic bands circle the rounded body, dividing earthy glazes of brown, ochre, and muted green. The freehand decoration gives the piece a character somewhere between folk art and West German studio pottery.

Each example of model 7825 was individually decorated, making the surface of this vase unique. It comes directly from the artist’s estate and bears the manufacturer’s mark and model number on the base.
