The radiating structure comprises twelve gently arched arms in solid brass, extending from a fluted hemispherical brass canopy, each arm terminating in a lacquered conical shade in a distinct color — blue, green, dusty pink, burgundy, cream, yellow, and black — housing a porcelain E14 socket. The suspension rod is finished with a red lacquered drop-form canopy cap. Notably, many examples of this model circulating on the market today were executed in black lucite rather than brass — a lighter, less costly material that tends to yellow and become brittle with age. This example, by contrast, is built entirely in solid brass, a marked upgrade in both material quality and longevity, and consistent with the finest tier of Milanese lighting production of the period. The overall execution reflects an exceptional level of workmanship: the arms are cleanly seated into the central canopy with no visible crude soldering, the brass shows a warm, even original patina, and the colored lacquer on the cone shades retains a smooth, well-preserved finish with neat brass collars at each junction. In the seller’s extensive experience handling comparable pieces, this combination of scale and finish quality is rarely encountered.
