Raised on tapered solid wood legs, the cabinet is veneered in warm teak (or teak-stained hardwood) and surmounted by its original full-length glass top, lending visual lightness while protecting the wooden surface. The layout combines four drawers to the left with a central double-door cabinet fitted with an internal shelf, complemented by a further side compartment concealed behind a sliding door. The right-hand sliding panel is embellished with an original black graphic decoration depicting a stylized still life of ceramic vessels, a decorative element characteristic of Italian cabinetmaking of the late 1950s and early 1960s. The interior retains its vivid raspberry-red finish, creating a striking chromatic contrast with the warm exterior veneer. Original turned wooden legs and recessed drawer pulls further emphasize the cabinet's clean, modernist aesthetic. The restrained proportions, quality joinery and decorative detailing reflect the influence of post-war Italian design, recalling productions by manufacturers such as Vittorio Dassi, ISA Bergamo, Silvio Cavatorta and other leading workshops active during the period. A highly versatile piece, equally suitable as a dining room sideboard, living room credenza or statement storage cabinet within both modern and vintage interiors. Condition: Overall in good vintage condition, with age-related wear consistent with use. The veneer shows minor scratches, small edge losses and localized abrasions, particularly around the drawer fronts. The original glass top presents surface scratches, edge chips and areas of oxidation/clouding, as illustrated in the photographs. Interior clean and structurally sound. A well-preserved example retaining its original character and patina. See less
