The piece is entirely covered in fine natural parchment, an especially unusual and highly desirable feature in Belgian furniture from this period.

The front comprises three spacious drawers decorated with refined geometric motifs engraved directly into the parchment. The diagonal lines extend across the entire surface, creating an elegant diamond pattern that enhances the material’s natural tonal variations and distinctive texture.

Unusual circular handles in a satin-finished metal alloy provide a striking material contrast. Each drawer also retains its own lock and original key. The chest rests on a sculptural geometric base, likewise fully covered in parchment.

An exceptionally elegant and remarkably rare example of refined postwar Belgian Art Deco design. Fully restored. See less
