The veneer displays a shimmering reddish-orange hue with golden highlights that shift with the light. The sides, carved in an inverted arch, lend the pieces a remarkable lightness despite their substantial size.

Four tapered legs terminate in conical cast brass sabots.

Each piece features a drawer with a two-tone front—a band of black-stained pearwood, a noble substitute for ebony, against a warm mahogany background—closed by an elegant bracket-shaped cutout.

The cast brass handle, shaped like a flattened cradle, is characteristic of the decorative vocabulary of Northern Italy in the 1960s.

The top, covered in black reverse-painted glass, is surmounted by an open gallery with a clear glass shelf edged in green.
