The wool yarn and the burlap-weave backing material have worn through in the center. Three of the four legs have pieces of wood broken off where they meet the base. Two are wobbly, but solidly attached. The bottom of the legs show wear consistent with age. This piece is in good antique condition, beautifully showcasing its rich history and genuine age. The hand-stitched wool gros point top displays honest, localized wear that highlights its authentic vintage provenance. The solid mahogany frame retains excellent overall stability. Three of the turned legs exhibit localized wear and minor surface damage near the top joints. Two legs possess a slight, historic wobble typical of 19th-century peg-and-socket joinery, though they remain firmly and securely attached to the frame. It is ready to use as a stunning, character-rich accent piece. less
