Here is a sleek 1960s Duk-It drinks table by McDonald Products Corp. of Buffalo, New York. Originally designed as a smoking stand, the petite pedestal form translates perfectly today as a drinks table, with a recessed round top that's just right beside a lounge chair or sofa.
The table pairs warm walnut with polished chrome, from the beautifully tapered central column to the substantial circular metal base. I especially love the contrast of materials and the wonderfully slim profile—it takes up almost no room but has plenty of mid-century personality. The recessed top measures approximately 5.75 inches across.
The underside retains its original McDonald Products Corp. marking along with the charming Duk-It duck logo, a wonderful little detail that speaks to the piece's original history.
