Vintage Swedish lounge chair produced by IRE Möbel of Skillingaryd, Sweden, c.1950s-60s. Newly restored and upholstered in authentic Divina Melange 3-227 by Finn Sködt for Danish textile maker Kvadrat. The sculptural solid wood frame has been professionally refinished, highlighting the chair's refined Scandinavian proportions and beautifully shaped armrests.
The design features a distinctive floating seat and back construction, creating a light architectural appearance while remaining exceptionally comfortable. Subtle metal hardware connecting the backrest to the frame adds a sophisticated engineering detail reminiscent of high-end Scandinavian designs of the period.
Kvadrat's Divina Melange 227 brings a soft heathered character to the chair, offering a nuanced blend of warm gray and natural wool tones that complement the rich wood frame without competing with it.
