A wonderful small vintage Italian bowl by Società Ceramica Italiana (S.C.I.) of Laveno, featuring a cheerful yellow ground with a central cluster of ripe red strawberries and a contrasting green rim. Dating to approximately the 1930s–1940s, the bowl has a wonderfully graphic fruit motif and saturated color that makes it especially appealing displayed in a collection of vintage Italian pottery or used as a small serving or condiment bowl.
The underside bears the S.C.I. Laveno eagle mark associated with the historic Italian ceramic manufacturer.

• 5” diameter × 1” deep
Condition: No chips or cracks. There are pinpoint marks on the underside from where the bowl rested during the firing/drying process. Two small areas along the rim have bits of clay beneath the glaze with adjacent spots where the glaze did not fully cover the surface. These are manufacturing irregularities rather than later damage.
