Museum Exact Match: This piece is a precise structural and dimensional twin to the example held in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Permanent Wing (Object 2009.226.11a, b).Pattern & Technique: Features a deeply grooved, geometric "Harvard" or "Cane" motif. This piece was made via a "figured blank" method where a molded shape was hand-finished on cutting wheels to give it razor-sharp, light-catching geometric edges and custom neck facets.

Selenium Discoloration: Made from a lighter-weight lime-glass formulation. Over the last century, the early 20th-century selenium clarifying agent has solarized naturally, giving the glass a highly unique, authentic subtle smoky-topaz / straw-gray hue.
