I don't have any info on this artist … Read more Gorgeous mid century impressionist floral still life from 1954 by Erik Martin. I don't have any info on this artist but this painting came from the Bay Area estate of James Coran and Walter Nelson Rees, who owned the largest private collection of California art until the 1991 Oakland Hills fire that destroyed their home and with it about 800 paintings from California artists. Erik Martin's "Blue Vase" painting was one of the artworks from their collection picked for a 1991 show in Concord, California (see last photo) and must have survived till this day because it was never returned to Coran and Rees' home.
