Vintage French museum poster for the Musée Marmottan in Paris, advertising the museum’s “Collections 1er Empire” devoted to the First Empire period.
The poster features a striking formal portrait in a vivid scarlet military uniform against a dark background, surrounded by crisp black-and-cream typography reading “Académie des Beaux-Arts,” “Musée Marmottan,” and “Collections 1er Empire.” The restrained graphic design and rich coloration give the piece a particularly handsome, old-Paris museum quality.

The dark wood frame displays scratches, scuffs, finish loss, small nicks and chips, and wear at the corners and edges. Older backing and hanging hardware remain in place.
