The two side lyres are crafted from solid cherry wood and adorned with strings. They are connected by a crossbar and terminate in curved legs.

The cabinet contains one drawer; the top and frame are veneered in cherry wood. An ebonized diamond serves as the escutcheon, and an ebonized molding forms the bottom edge of the cabinet. The top has been repaired with age-related veneer repairs.

The lock and key are original. The table has been restored, refinished with shellac, and is ready for use.
