Louis Paul Thiam (1914-1973) was a French wood sculptor and marquetry artist, particularly active in Lorraine. Born into a family of artists—initiated by his father Aimé Thiam (inventor of an innovative marquetry technique) and collaborating with his brother Albert Thiam—he specialized in a unique technique: relief marquetry (or carved wood panels in low relief).
