Full of poetry with its vintage charm, this wall mirror boasts generous ornamentation and beautiful materials. Its elegant frame features a band of stucco painted to resemble varnished oak, framed by two decorative registers: an outer molding enlivened with flowers, foliage, and scrolls in relief in the purest neo-Baroque style, and, towards the mirror, a discreet border adorned with a row of gilded beads. The glass itself possesses the hazy charm of antique glass, with its slight bubbles and micro-scratches that attest to its period craftsmanship, whether blown or laminated using traditional methods.
The mirror is vintage and dates from the 1940s. The frame has some stucco missing, particularly at the corners and on the top rail. The silvering shows signs of age, as seen in the photos.
63.5cm x 48.5cm for the frame, 49cm x 34cm for the mirror, 3cm thick.
