This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian wide gallery runner presents a bold, symmetrical composition across a rich brick-red field. A large central medallion combines pale blue-green, ivory, and red angular forms around a crisp geometric rosette, while branching palmettes and hooked devices extend along the vertical axis. Stylized floral sprigs, slender tree forms, and paired abstract birds or animal figures occupy the upper and lower sections, lending the design a lively village character. A broad ivory border is filled with repeating blossoms, leaves, and angular vines in red, brown, grey, and soft blue, framed by narrow guard bands carrying small rosettes. The contrast between the saturated field and lighter border gives the runner strong decorative clarity. Rooted in Anatolian weaving traditions, the elongated proportions, balanced ornament, and expressive geometry create a commanding foundation for interiors seeking warmth, structure, distinctive folk pattern, and enduring visual appeal throughout.
