Two registers divide the panel: above, a radiating diamond medallion built from tightly spaced lines fanning out from a raised center point, with quarter-circle fills softening each corner; below, a large sunburst medallion — a central shield-like emblem set within concentric rings, surrounded by straight radiating lines cut deep enough to catch strong shadow. Narrow hatched bands frame the top and bottom edges. The reverse is left in its natural, heavily weathered state, deeply textured from decades of exposure — a contrast to the more legible, cared-for carving on the face.
