A striking statement piece for the sideboard, dining table, or entryway console, this vintage Chinese export porcelain covered tureen was made in the shape of a majestic rooster. Rendered in a vibrant Famille Rose polychrome palette, the body is wrapped in dense, hand-enameled millefleurs and butterfly motifs, beautifully contrasted by vivid turquoise, cobalt, and rust-orange plumage along the sweeping tail feathers.
Composed of two fitted pieces, the lid lifts away to reveal a spacious glazed interior. Stamped and sealed on the underside.
