Crafted in France circa 1970, the four-piece set, known in French as a serviteur de cheminée, is made of solid brass and wrought iron and includes a matching stand fitted with a shovel, brush, and poker.

The slender stand is crowned with a turned brass finial and fitted with gracefully curved hooks that suspend each tool for convenient access. The tools feature long polished brass shafts terminating in finely turned baluster-form handles. The poker retains a black wrought iron working end for durability, while the shovel is formed with a broad sculptural brass pan and the brush is fitted with dense black bristles for efficient hearth cleaning.

The circular stand rests on a molded brass base enclosing a textured black iron tray designed to catch ash and debris. Its warm polished brass finish is beautifully contrasted by the darker iron elements, giving the set a refined yet understated appearance suited to traditional, Mid-Century Modern, and contemporary interiors.

The fireplace tool set is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich polished brass patina with minor wear consistent with careful use.
