Here is a beautiful pair of late 20th century (likely 1970-80s) pillow top ottomans by California furniture maker Fremarc Designs. Each features a warm finished wood frame with deeply carved floral and foliate details, shaped aprons and graceful cabriole legs. Plush button-tufted pillow tops are upholstered in a striped velvet in warm shades of rust, cream and tan.
The carving is especially lovely on these, continuing around the frames and down the legs, and the compact size makes them versatile as footstools, extra seating or a pair placed in front of a fireplace or at the foot of a bed. Original Fremarc labels remain underneath.
