A curated, high-contrast pairing of two distinct ceramic traditions, perfectly styled to bring a layered, curated look to a mantel, bookshelf, or modern console. This asymmetric duo balances the minimalist graphic energy of late-20th-century American studio pottery with the timeless elegance of classic East Asian ceramic arts.
Vase 1 (Postmodern Splatter): A vintage 1980s ceramic art vase by Harris Potteries, Chicago. Features an expressive, abstract drip glaze in black and graphite gray over a textured, matte off-white background.
Vase 2 (Chinoiserie Prunus): A porcelain cabinet vase adorned with an all-over traditional "hawthorn" or prunus plum blossom branch pattern. Delicate white and yellow blossoms are set against a rich, multi-tonal cobalt blue ground, flanked by mock-ring handles.
