This desk lamp was a big success for the company. It was made for a long time. Early versions like this one from the 50s have a brass E14 bulb socket. Later versions have a Bakelite socket.

Helo traces its origins back to the 1930s, when Henry Gerhard (senior) ran an electrical business under the name Elektrogeschäft Helo in Breslau (then Germany; today Wrocław, Poland). He founded the company in 1946. This model of Helo desk lamp can be seen in many movies, like Brazil (1985), Stan & Ollie (2018) etc.

Condition:

The white paint is not original, but professionally applied. Although it has been professionally painted in white, there are a few tiny paint faults that you can see in the photos.  Vintage style newly installed twisted electrical cord, plug and switch. This piece has an attribution mark,
