Circa … Read more This Really is a Great Looking - Very High Quality Vintage Nautical Brass Ships Combination Holistic Barometer and Thermometer. Circa Mid 20th Century. It is Signed by the Esteemed & Historical Boston Massachusetts Maker "CHELSEA". The Barometer Mechanism is Mounted in a Beautifully Made - Heavy Solid Cast Brass Case. It has a Beautiful Silvered Dial with Bold Embossed Black Lettering. It has a Custom Made Solid Mahogany Wood Stand for Table Top Etc. Display but the Barometer Can be Easily Removed with 1 Screw at the Top Area so it can Also be Wall Mounted Without the Stand if So Desired. It is in Very Nice All Original Condition and it Displays Beautifully. Very Minimal Age and Use Related Cosmetic Wear. It is Perfectly Functional. NOTE That This is a Professional Grade - Marine Grade Barometer - Intended for Accuracy.

HOW TO SET - CALIBRATE THE BAROMETER WHEN IT ARRIVES.

The Back of the Case has a Hole that Gives access to a Small Screw that can Be accessed with a Small Screwdriver This Being Used to Accurately Set - Calibrate The Barometric Pressure at your Specific Location ( Screwdriver Pictured is Used to illustrate and Not Included With This Sale ). To Set the Barometer to Your Location First Determine the True Barometric Pressure at that Moment and Then Insert a Small Screwdriver. By Turning the Screw while Looking at the Dial you can Move the Hand to the Proper Barometric Pressure and then the Barometer Set. Next Step - The Beveled Glass Front has Another Pointer ( Gold Color ) That Can be Turned - Adjusted With the Small Brass Knob so then Rotate the Pointer So That it Covers - Is Directly Over the Barometers Hand. After That You Will be Able to Use it as a Reference Point as the Barometer Hand Moves - Changes.
