Engraved by James … Read more Antique botanical print depicting A Group of Carnations, from Robert John Thornton`s celebrated The Temple of Flora. Engraved by James Caldwall after Peter Henderson. The print bears the original engraved inscriptions, including "Caldwall sculp". The visible plate mark measures approximately 52.5 x 40 cm. It is presented in a frame with layered matting. The print has not been removed from the frame, and I have therefore not independently verified the paper verso, watermark or complete sheet dimensions. It is consequently offered as an antique/period botanical print attributed to Thornton`s Temple of Flora. See less
