with its superb hand-carved solid teak base, this stunning Danish lamp embodies the history of 1960s Scandinavian brutalism. Its form is both gentle and assertive, but it is above all its surface that captivates the eye: every square centimeter bears the deliberate marks of the chisel, leaving a vibrant, lively, almost warm texture, so characteristic of this Nordic movement that made raw materials a language in their own right. The typically Danish pleated white fabric shade softens the overall look with its folds that diffuse a soft and generous light. This is an authentic and charming vintage decorative lamp, ideal for adding a touch of vintage Nordic design to a contemporary or Scandinavian interior.
The lamp is vintage and dates from the 1960s. It is made of hand-carved solid teak. Some slight signs of wear and small stains on the wood are visible in the photos.
The base measures 10cm on each side and 26cm in height. The lampshade is 14 to 40cm in diameter and 26cm in height. The total height is 48cm. It uses a large screw-in bulb.
