Mummenthaler & Meier "Magic Box" desk. Such a cool, vintage piece. When opened, it reveals a compact but multi-funtional workspace. Unsigned.
Note: Swiss architects Ernst Mummenthaler and Otto Meier designed the "Magic Box" (or "Desk in a Box") around 1928, with production scaling in the 1950s and 1960s. Most original pieces were completely unsigned.
Provenance: Purchased by my father-in-law in the late 50s-early 60s. Used primarily to organize his stamp collection.
