Issued by the German and Austrian Alpine Association, these beautifully printed plates illustrate native Alpine wildflowers with remarkable botanical accuracy and subtle, naturalistic coloring. Prepared under the scientific editorship of Dr. Palla of the University of Graz, the illustrations were based on original studies by the Austrian botanical artist Anton Hartinger and produced using the advanced photolithographic process developed by Nenke & Ostermaier of Dresden.
