A beautiful matching pair of Japanese Satsuma-style pottery jars, richly hand painted with gilded enamel detailing and intricate narrative scenes. The pair features twin ring handles and vibrant hand-painted figures, florals, and geometric borders in tones of rust red, turquoise, black, and gold over a cream crackle glaze.

Each jar is artist-signed on the base, suggesting small studio craftsmanship — likely mid-20th century Kyoto or Yokohama production, blending elements of Satsuma and Kutani techniques.

Perfect for styling as a symmetrical pair on a console, shelf, or mantle, or for collectors of Japanese art pottery and gilded ceramics.

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition overall. Natural crazing throughout consistent with age; no cracks or chips.
