The reverse backstamp documents that the intricate composition is directly inspired by a historic 17th-century engraving of the formal Gardens of Marly, originally drafted by the legendary landscape architect André Le Nôtre for King Louis XIV. It features rich green borders, delicate gold details, and a central potted topiary tree, beautifully embodying classical French garden elegance. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or structural crazing. A minor, standard kiln firing wire mark is visible on the bottom unglazed resting rim from manufacturing, completely hidden when displayed. See less
