Weight is just over 7 pounds. The approximate measurements are 13”L x 6”W x 6.5”H. Its shape makes it highly collectible, bold and impressive!

Extraordinary piece of art glass by the late and internationally renowned glass artist Charlie Meaker (1946-2011). This piece is unsigned, but has his hallmarks of design in color, shape, applied lip and bottom break.

Charlie Meaker studied glass design in London in 1974, Toronto, Canada, 1975-1976, and in Sweden, 1976-1977. He was a glass designer at Dartington Crystal in England. He was a professor at Denmark's Designskole in Copenhagen and was director of Inferno Glassworks, Bornholm, Denmark.

He's designed for (amongst others) Michael Harris (Isle of Wight Glass), Royal Leerdam 'Unica' series (Netherlands), J&L Lobmeyr (Vienna), Rosenthal Studioline (Selb, Germany).

Permanent collections of Charlie's work may be seen in museums in London; Norway; The Netherlands; Edinburgh, Scotland; and the Corning Museum in the United States. See less
