This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian long runner presents a rhythmic procession of ten linked geometric medallions arranged along a softly muted coral-pink field. Alternating octagonal and hexagonal forms are rendered in faded red, apricot, lavender, blue-grey, ivory, and taupe, each enclosing a compact star, hooked blossom, or angular cruciform device. Fine linear connectors unite the medallions along the central axis, strengthening the continuous vertical flow. Narrow side borders display a delicate chain of small diamond motifs in ivory and mauve, while broader end panels introduce rows of multicolored triangles that provide a lively geometric finish. The restrained palette and spacious arrangement give the design an unexpectedly modern clarity, while the hand-drawn motifs remain grounded in Anatolian village weaving traditions. Its exceptional length allows the repeating forms to unfold with steady architectural rhythm, creating an elegant decorative foundation defined by color, proportion, and graphic continuity throughout.
