Liberty sideboard in ash and maple, attributed to Ernesto Basile and produced by Grandiosi Magazzini Emporio Roma of Palermo, dating … Read more Liberty sideboard in ash and maple, attributed to Ernesto Basile and produced by Grandiosi Magazzini Emporio Roma of Palermo, dating back to the early 20th century. The structure features a central beveled mirror, topped by three smaller beveled mirrors and a pierced cornice. The base is characterized by a pair of central glass doors, flanked by lateral uprights with a drawer under the top, a glass door, and two additional drawers below. An upper shelf with a molded bracket is surmounted by a pierced and carved decoration, serving as a buttress for the central mirror. Elegant painted floral decorations enrich the front panels and drawers, while metal handles complete the design. Some glass panes are missing. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
