A wonderful original antique Georgian period snap top occasional table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1790-1810 period.
This is of superb quality and is a very useful size. The wood has acquired a gorgeous colour tone and patina, the top can be tilted up with an original brass catch mechanism. This table sits on a solid splayed tripod base, it is sturdy and sound.
We have had this revived and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various signs of old wear and character, with one minor historical repair to the support under the table top.
