Meticulously hand-carved from a single block of natural banded Egyptian alabaster (calcite), this fascinating piece is a historical replica of an ancient agricultural votive tablet used to bring fertility, protection, and abundance to livestock and crops.The sculpture depicts a parallel procession of six sacred animals—representing the sacred herd of the goddess Hathor or the Apis Bull—joined structurally by prominent raised center panels intricately carved with geometric hatchings mimicking ancient Egyptian offering tables. The stone exhibits magnificent natural crystalline banding, subtle caramel-amber veining, minor historic edge nibbles, and a deeply settled, honest matte patina.
