Measuring approximately 14.5 inches in length, the figure displays deeply textured grain created through the traditional uzukuri technique, which accentuates the natural growth rings of the wood. The surface has been treated in the yakisugi manner, producing a rich tonal contrast that enhances the sculptural character of the carving. The duck retains its original inset glass eyes and is rendered with naturalistic proportions and detailed feather modeling.
