Executed in the prestigious Karamono (Chinese-influenced) structural tradition, this vessel is configured as an elongated square-section column, composed of meticulously tight, bias-plaited split-bamboo paneling. The architectural framework is reinforced with robust vertical corner staves lashed tightly with fine split rattan ties, terminating in a thick, multi-layered wrapped rim (fuchimaki).

Balancing this clean geometry are the spectacular, high-arching handles crafted from solid bentwood bamboo, showcasing intricate, hand-tied decorative nawame-ami (interlocking rope-knot pattern) rattan overlays. The undersides exhibit traditional crossed X-form structural reinforcement brackets, ensuring stability. Coated in a rich, lustrous umber finish.
