Campari Soda — Pijoan “Vince la Sete” (Soccer Team), c.1970
A striking large-format Italian advertising poster designed by Pijoan for Campari Soda around 1970. The composition shows a football squad in red jerseys, each bearing a letter that together spell CAMPARI SODA. At the right edge stands the iconic bottle alongside the slogan “vince la sete” (“beats the thirst”), linking the vigor of team sport with the refreshing image of Campari Soda. Produced in the oversize quattro fogli (four-sheet) format for outdoor display, the poster was printed in Italy by offset lithography. This example is professionally backed on linen, preserving the strong colors and clean surfaces typical of an excellent “A” condition piece.
