The side pilasters are adorned with characteristic Eastlake details, including incised geometric line carvings, linear channel grooves, and decorative "X" patterns near the bottom corners, highlighting the natural grain of the walnut wood. The top outer corners are further accented with decorative wooden blocks supported by small, stylized brackets, completing the geometric and symmetrical aesthetic typical of late 19th-century Victorian design.
