An antique 19th century silverplated chafing dish with separate inset tray and lid. It features a lovely scalloped design and acanthus style handles and edges. It has a removable oil and wick warmer underneath upper tray. The wick is adjustable wit a silverplated turning knob. Two handles on sides of lower warming dish are hinged and adjustable. The dish is in good condition with some tarnish, pitting and wear. It is marked, "CSC" with a crown logo on the underside edge of the removable interior tray.
Interior tray measures: 16.5"L x 10.5"W x 2.7 5"H with feet. Oil & wick container measures: 3"Diam x 2.25"H.
