The shaped mahogany-toned top is decorated with scrolling floral marquetry and fine line inlay, following the table’s wonderfully animated serpentine outline. It rests above a conforming apron embellished with gilt-metal foliate mounts and slender tapered legs enriched with gilt capitals, applied ornament and decorative sabots.
When closed, the table serves beautifully as a console, entry table or occasional table while occupying only 17 inches of depth. The hinged top opens to form a generous square playing surface lined in traditional green felt—perfect for cards, puzzles or an especially stylish game night. A concealed storage compartment beneath the top provides a practical finishing touch.
