An elegant and intricately decorated vintage 20th-century Italian polychrome faience ceramic pedestal column. This stately architectural plinth features an all-over hand-painted botanical design filled with colorful wildflower blossoms in shades of periwinkle blue, amber yellow, and dusty purple. Dense green foliage trails up the entirety of the column against a crisp white glaze base.
The classical form is defined by distinct horizontal banding and highlighted with deep cobalt blue borders at the base, center tier, and capital trim. Designed with a wide, flat circular top platform, this heavy ceramic pedestal makes a striking statement piece for displaying fine art glass, a cascading fern, or an antique majolica jardinière.
