Hand-painted in France by the renowned decorating studio Parry & Vieille (marked with their signature P.V. hallmark.
The box stands upright and captures details of a slice of pear.

The interior features a white glaze with a hand painted hallmark and the exterior is skillfully hand painted in a Pear seed core design.
The two porcelain halves are bound by an ornate aged-brass ormolu band.
The Brass band terminates with a fabricated metal wire stem as the clasp.
