Cremer in paris, making it a rare case of spotlight and stand surviving together from the same maker.

andré cremer founded the workshop in paris around 1920, later passed to his son william, who carried the business through its strongest years. Through the 1950s cremer spotlights lit the great parisian revues alongside film and television productions. The company continued until 1977, when quartz halogen projectors began replacing the older fresnel lens designs industry wide.

this example carries its original blue hammered paint, cleaned and preserved rather than repainted, a notable variation given that most surviving cremer units appear in black. The housing bears the stamp bté sgdg, a french patent marking used from 1844 until 1968. The original barndoors are present, along with the matching original signed bolts on the tripod.

the spotlight measures 38 x 30 x 26 cm. The telescoping steel tripod legs adjust the total height from 165 to 240 cm. The fixture has been rewired while retaining its original e27 fitting, with approximately 3 meters of cable and an inline switch. This piece has an attribution mark,
