Pine screen with honeycomb structure, wavy top profile, and original Jomain Baumann labels. Made in France, 1950s.
The succession of thin pine slats and the wavy top profile define the character of this screen designed by Jomain Baumann and produced in France during the 1950s. The honeycomb structure, typical of Jomain Baumann models and made of slats connected by a metal wire core, allows it to be configured in different ways and rolled up when not in use, a construction solution that contributed to the success of this model. Developed by Jomain Baumann in the 1930s and in production for several decades, this screen represents the French company's most iconic design. This piece retains the original manufacturer's labels affixed to the side edge, confirming its attribution and documenting its origin.
