Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, this has been professionally cleaned, and we have found no outstanding flaws only normal wear for age. This is an absolutely MAGNIFIQUE French Louis XV style settee or loveseat by Highland House Furniture composed of a richly hand carved dark wood frame bearing a beautiful serpentine curved back and arms with a slight swoop and turned legs that stand behind a shorter underframe exposing shorter exquisite cabriole front legs connected by a curvilinear apron featuring fabulous hand carved floral motifs & structural H-stretchers with lovely turned details. WOW!!! And… we haven’t even addressed this incredible FABRIC!!! It is upholstered in a DISTINCTIVE black and white Toile de Jouy depicting detailed pastoral patterns, scenic illustrations, figures, landscapes, and trees featuring a contrasting black and white checkerboard welting surrounding all of the edges including the deck, the front of the sofa back, the single loose zippered poly wrapped foam bench seat cushion and upholstered back. Okay… take a breath now!!! There is something EXTRA comfy about a single seat cushion!! Perfect to curl up with a blanket and a book or snuggling with your sweetie as you don’t have to worry about a pinchy-pinch from those pesky sofa cushion cracks!
