This listing is for an eye catching lidded tea jar/canister, known as a chazutsu.
This chazutsu was made with a modernist geometric design by Japanese American artists at Nichibei Potters (located in California).
This chazutsu is in good condition and comes from the private collection of the late California artist, Rosalie Copeland (1939-2025). It is signed on the bottom.
The entire piece measures about 3.25 inches in diameter and about 5.25 inches in height
