This vintage wind-up bunny rabbit toy dates to the mid-20th century, likely from the 1950s-1960s. The toy features a plush-covered body with pink plastic eyes and original fabric clothing in red-and-white striped overalls with suspenders. The rabbit is designed as a marching band figure, playing both a lithographed tin drum with bold geometric patterns in red, blue, green, and pink, and a set of brass-colored tin cymbals.
The toy operates by a wind-up key mechanism located at the side. When wound, the rabbit beats the drum and clashes the cymbals CI simultaneously, a common design in postwar mechanical toys made in Japan and Germany. The underside shows striped fabric feet coverings, consistent with mid-century toy construction.Overall, this is a charming example of vintage mechanical toy design, blending soft plush elements with tin lithography. It remains a collectible piece for enthusiasts of mid-century toys, mechanical novelties, or vintage Easter décor.
