This mid-20th-century Turkish Anatolian tribal runner presents a bold sequence of five large geometric medallions arranged along a saturated brick-red field. Each medallion combines stepped hooks, angular projections, and compact central panels filled with stylized floral or cruciform devices in orange, ivory, taupe, violet, coral, and dark brown. Their alternating colors create a lively vertical rhythm while maintaining strong structural balance. A broad border of individually framed rosettes and abstract blossoms surrounds the field, introducing additional tones of pink, cream, mustard, blue, and brown. Narrow dark guards sharpen the composition, while striped kilim-style bands at both ends provide a crisp horizontal finish. The graphic drawing and saturated palette reflect the expressive character of Anatolian village weaving, while the repeated forms lend the piece a striking architectural presence. Its elongated proportions and vivid geometry make it a dynamic decorative foundation for layered traditional or contemporary interiors.
