Guanyin is depicted seated serenely upon a carved lotus-form pedestal, wearing gracefully draped robes, ornamental jewelry, and an elaborate headdress. Her softly modeled features, downcast eyes, and contemplative expression give the sculpture a peaceful, meditative presence. One hand rests gently upon the knee while the other is raised in a symbolic Buddhist gesture.

Hand carved from pale white marble, the sculpture displays subtle natural tonal variations and beautifully rendered details throughout the flowing robes, jewelry, hands, headdress, and layered lotus base.

At approximately 22 inches tall, the piece has a substantial presence while remaining versatile enough for display on a console, pedestal, bookshelf, or within a collection of Asian art.
