Exceptional oversized Chinese ceramic jardiniere featuring a dramatic low, rounded form finished in a rich turquoise and deep jade green glaze. The substantial rolled rim is accented by two sculptural molded lion-mask handles.
The interior retains its original earthenware surface with visible glaze pooling and firing variation, while the exterior has a beautifully lustrous, variegated finish with natural glaze drips, crazing, and tonal variation throughout.
Its saturated coloration, monumental scale, and traditional Chinese lion imagery make it particularly suited to a collected Chinoiserie, coastal, or eclectic interior. The vessel is unsigned and is being offered based on its decorative characteristics rather than a specific maker attribution.
